But as a first-time user, I found some part of the UX less than satisfactory or enjoyable and I believe it’s worth a share. With tons of amazing content from thousands of creatives around the world to get inspired from, Behance is a really great project sharing platform and by far my most favorite. These are however only rough ideas and these would need to be discovered first.I’ll state that this is a highly opinionated article, and that my arguments and suggestions are not generalizations but based on my user experience using Behance. Also, a functioning way of informing each other when people are absent due to sick leave or a chat with their teachers spontaneously spring to mind. Instructions and templates could guide them in their learning process. Notion, Figma, Miro)Įlements such as effective collaboration and support should find their way into their platforms. My quick assumption is that their needs would have to be met with a multi-layered approach, incorporating the systems they are already using and maybe integrating other tools, that are tried and tested.

I am not sure, a task management app would be the solution to the challenges they are facing today. What real underlying needs and challenges are teenagers currently facing? Regarding the project through the 2021 lens, I would analyze their existing school system far more: We have now been through several waves of a pandemic and two rounds of home-schooling, with Germany’s school system ‘awaking’ to all the digital possibilities. Looking back at the project now, with 3+ years in the industry, I would definitely change a lot of things.įirstly I would want to spend more time in the problem space and analyze the structures teenagers actually work in. It was not only about learning the “hard UX facts” but also trusting in the Design Thinking Process and applying this to a whole personal project.

I can still safely say I profit from to this day. There are so many things that I learned while doing this project. Throughout the whole of Taskly’s design process, I continually tested my results with users and iterated Taskly’s design. As Taskly is a responsive web-app, developed with a mobile-first approach, I could take my initial designs for mobile and adapt these for tablet and desktop. I developed wireframes for Taskly going from sketches (low-fidelity), to mid-to high-fidelity wireframes. With my newly found insights, I improved Taskly’s main features (MVP), which I then turned into wireframes during the following ideation phase. Then I continued by validating my assumptions and conducted the first round of user research on Taskly’s target audience. I went from analysing Taskly’s competitors and their business models in order to develop a first minimum viable product (MVP) for Taskly.

Taskly was developed with a user-centred approach, using the Design Thinking method. “.how can I create a task management app that answers to the needs of teenagers, using the technical equipment available to them?” My Role It is a web-based responsive app and was created with a mobile-first approach. It was developed from scratch during a 500 hour + Careerfoundry intensive course 2018. Taskly is a task management app for teenagers.
